So, this is my third issue of this title. I’ve enjoyed the previous two issues, but did not recommend them, rather telling you to wait for trade. With issue #6 wait no longer!
The issue opens with Maria Hill (and the Avengers, via comm) telling most of the mainstays of the Marvel Universe about the events of the previous issues’. We learn that Thanos has made a deal with the Badoon, needing their help dealing with the Avengers. Eventually, the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy are attacked by the Badoon. A battle ensures which ultimately ends in the Avengers being sucked into space (also Thanos uses the Cosmic Cube, to what end, we find out next issue).
This issue has it all: good dialogue, great character development/interaction, a cool battle, great cameos, and a shocking ending! There’s also a great moment involving the Hulk as a Trojan Horse that has to be seen to be believed. Finally an issue that can be…
